Genoa City Says Goodbye to Colleen
The Abbotts, Winters, Chancellors and Newmans all gathered to say their goodbyes to Colleen Carlton (Tammin Sursok), who lost her life in the same lake that took her father, Brad. Billy (Billy Miller) took care of the details for his grieving sister Traci (Beth Maitland) and planned a very special service where friends and family could share their happy memories of the spirited young lady. At the end, with Traci singing "An Angel's Lullaby" softly in the background, they released red balloons into the sky to honor Colleen. Meanwhile, Lily (Christel Khalil) was too sick from her chemotherapy to attend the ceremony. Neil (Kristoff St. John) went in her place, while Devon (Bryton James) sent audio from his cell phone so Lily could feel like a part of it. From her home, Lily released her own red balloon in honor of her best friend as Cane (Daniel Goddard) looked on. Rest in peace, Colleen...
"An Angel's Lullaby" was an original tune written by Jack Allocco and David Kurtz, The Young and the Restless' award-winning musical wizards, who teamed up with Gary Verna to write the special tune of remembrance for Traci to sing for her child.
