Doug Davidson: 30 Year Resident of Genoa City
On May 15, 1978, handsome blue-eyed Doug Davidson (Paul) arrived on the set of The Young and the Restless and taped his first scenes opposite Nikki Reed (played by Erica Hope at that time) for a teen summer storyline. Later, Bill Bell decided to give his character a last name (Williams) and the rest is history. Doug Davidson has given fans 30 years of romance, intrigue, drama and comedy and they love him for it!

Paul, with good friends Andy Richards (Steven Ford) and Jazz Jackson (Jon St. Elwood), breaking up the syndicate in Genoa City and bring down Kingpin Tony DiSalvo (Joseph Taylor).
Paul, Victor (Eric Braeden) and Andy saved Nikki from the evil clutches of crazed Rick Daros (Randy Holland).
Paul, Andy and Jazz rescued Lauren Fenmore, who was buried alive thanks to stalker Shawn Garrett (Grant Cramer).
Paul faked his own death and went undercover to clear his name when he was accused of killing George Rawlins (Jonathan Farwell). Paul's ex-lover Cassandra Rawlins (Nina Arvesen) was the real culprit.
