Sharon found out that Phyllis and Nick were having an affair. Sharon kicked Nick out of their bedroom and confronted the competition. Phyllis refused to admit that she was in love with Nick; instead, she brought up the fact that Sharon almost slept with Brad in St. Louis, making Sharon furious! Victor wanted her out of N.V.P but Nikki felt that Phyllis really was an asset to the company. Victor pulled all the funding for N.V.P. Eventually, Phyllis pulled out of N.V.P., and Nikki found herself overwhelmed with all the work. A rift began between Victor and Nikki when he had no sympathy for her workload. Victor came down hard on Nick as well before he finally announced that he was taking back the reigns of Newman Enterprises. Phyllis was shocked to find out that she was pregnant and the baby could be Jack or Nick's. Sharon and Nick, although separated, briefly put aside their differences to put together a benefit in Cassie's honor.

J.T. and Victoria slept together temporarily causing a rift in her relationship with Brad and his relationship with Colleen. Eventually, Victoria accepted his engagement ring, much to Victor's dismay. Victor assumed that the ambitious Carlton was just trying to get his foot into Newman Enterprises. Victor hired J.T. to do some research and had him report to Victoria. Victoria and Brad began to plan their wedding while Victor told J.T. to find out anything he could about Brad. Victor refused to have anything to do with their nuptials but changed his mind and, at the last minute, walked Victoria down the aisle.

Jabot was rocked by tainted moisturizing cream thanks to Gloria's handiwork. Gloria wanted to get back at Jack and Ashley. John Abbott monitors the situation from prison. Kay, Jill, Jack and Ashley work furiously to try to contain the situation, but when one victim died after using the cream, an investigation began. District Attorney William Bardwell and a forensic team searched the Jabot lab, quickly finding the cleaning solvent that was found in the cream. He announced that since only the promotional jars were tainted, someone that worked at Jabot was the saboteur. Jack hired a new crisis P.R. rep named Carmen Mesta, who promptly suggested he step down from Jabot since he associated with the bad PR.

Mac and Kevin shared a passionate kiss but she pulled back, confused. Mac asked if Kevin could cover for her for a couple of weeks so that she could go back to the Indian Reservation and find some peace within her. Later, she returned and handed Kevin full control of the coffeehouse because she wanted to go back and help her father build homes in New Orleans. Kevin moved into the Abbott mansion with his mother to support her and keep an eye on Jack and Ashley. He visited John in prison and John told him he finally saw Kevin as his stepson which meant a lot to Kevin. Kevin uploaded Jack's verbal insults, secretly recorded during a Jabot board meeting via computer, onto Leanna Love's website.

Lauren dropped many hints to Michael before finally spilling the beans that they were expecting their first child together! Michael was ecstatic about the news and felt that this was his chance to make up for all the mistakes he had made throughout his life. Lauren began to worry about the health of her unborn child and Michael began to worry about Lauren.

Colleen grew closer to J.T. but was angry when she found out that Victoria was the one-night stand he had. J.T. tried to win her trust by giving her a key to his loft and said there was an extra room if she wanted to move in so that they could get know each other better. Later, Colleen gave an ugly toast at Victoria's Bridal Shower by announcing Brad should postpone the wedding AND require Victoria to get an H.I.V. test since she's been "sleeping around."
