When confronted by Neil about a cryptic email from Lily, Dru finally admitted that she slept with Malcolm many years ago when she had taken too much cold medicine. Later, Neil is devastated when he realized that Lily is Malcolm's daughter. Neil asks Dru how he could ever trust her again because she has been lying to him for years. Dru went off to Europe. Neil found himself attracted to Carmen in Dru's absence. Jack also found himself attracted to the fiery P.R. consultant. Eventually, Dru returned from Europe. She noted the flirtation happening between Neil and Carmen and didn't like it!

Mysterious things began happening surrounding Brad Carlton. First, J.T. and Paul learned that Brad was using someone else's identity and he was a Navy S.E.A.L. weapons specialist that ran covert ops. Then Victoria and Abby came home to find that their house had been ransacked. A new coffeehouse waitress named Jana Hawkes found Victoria's purse in a trash can in the alley. Brad burned a photo of a baseball team that both he and the real Brad Carlton were on. When Paul and J.T. flew to Cleveland to get more information, Paul's hotel room was ransacked and J.T. was kidnapped. Brad finally revealed to Colleen the truth about his past. His family was originally from Rome and in 1943 the Nazis came in and killed his mother's family. His mother, Rebecca, was put to work for the Nazis. She survived but had to change her name and her husband's when they escaped to America. Rebecca catalogued all of the stolen artwork for the Nazis and knew who originally owned it so they wanted her dead. Eventually, they tracked down the Kaplan family in Cleveland and slaughtered everyone with Rebecca and George/Brad barely escaping with their lives. He helped his mother go underground and he switched I.D.'s with his best friend Brad when he died in a car crash. The police thought it was George Kaplan who died while trying to get out of town after killing his family. For their safety, Brad gathered the family together for a trip to Hawaii.

Nick and Phyllis were stranded on a business trip in Los Alamos, New Mexico, due to a lightening storm. Phyllis finally admitted that she was pregnant and the baby may be Nick's. Nick promised to be there every step of the way, no matter what. Later, Nick revealed that he was the father. Sharon learned that Phyllis was pregnant when they get into a car accident while on a business trip. Sharon asked for a divorce and Nick moved in with Phyllis. Later, Nick and Phyllis returned to Los Alamos and were married.

An old acquaintance came back to blackmail Daniel and Kevin. Alex had tape showing how they set Lily up to think that Kevin was a hero by having Alex attack her and Kevin and Daniel rescue her. Daniel finally admitted the truth to Lily and her parents, and Lily left him. Meanwhile, Kevin grew closer to Jana, the pretty little British girl he hired to help out at Crimson Lights.

Victor, Paul, J.T., Nick, Victoria and Brad teamed up when Sharon was kidnapped by men searching for the Grugeon reliquary, which Brad's mother was thought to know the location of. Brad suspects that the reliquary had something to do with the murder and attempted murder of his family. J.T. and Paul looked for Sharon at a shipping container in Cleveland but realized, almost too late, that it was a trap. Luckily, Paul was able to diffuse the bomb. Later, Nick, J.T. Victoria, Brad and Victor headed to meet the kidnappers at a church. Victoria realized that it was a trap. Sharon was strapped with a bomb. Nick handed over a replica that Victoria had produced and the kidnapper believed it was real. He started to leave but shot at Brad. Nick jumped in front of him, saving his life. Brad tackled the kidnapper and broke his neck. Everyone wanted to call authorities but Brad convinced them that it was a bad idea.
