Turning the Tables

If the television reporter that lead to the bombarding of Ashley as she tried to meet Victor for coffee looked familiar, it's because it was none other than Entertainment Tonight correspondent Kevin Frazier in a role that of course wasn't much of a stretch, "I'm doing a live news update, breaking news, something that has just happened that has to do with the murder mystery. It's a funny twist of the entire thing."

However, having always been surrounded by fans of the show, he couldn't help but be excited. "It was like [there's] Kristoff [St. John (Neil)] and you try to be really cool. But it's funny, you grow up listening to your aunts or women talking about, 'Oh, he's so sexy…' The big daddy back then. He was crazy. My aunt was coo-coo over him."

Having lines was also new terrain. "When we're in the field, I just love to say whatever I want to say. I take a couple of facts and weave my way around. So it was cool here to follow a script and stay on. I could be stuck in Connecticut or I could be on the set of The Young and the Restless. My life is so drastically different and fun."

The appearance came about when, "CBS entities and my boss called me and said we want you to do The Young and the Restless. And I'm like, huh? That's cool because I have never had any actor fantasies… there is no inner actor trying to get out. It's like whew! I was on and I made it off!"

As for being on the other side of an interview, he shared, "It's crazy because you don't ever think about being interviewed, you always think about asking questions." Hopefully, he still got to have uninterrupted coffee with Victor!
