At the coffeehouse, Chloe and Chance are flirting intensely and just as Chloe is about to expose her true feelings for Chance, Phillip interrupts wanting to talk to Chance. Chance is not happy about the interruption but Chloe gives them the chance to talk and is happy with herself for reuniting a family as Nina joins them. Later, Murphy calls Chance to come to the hospital for Lily and Phillip tells him to go before they can talk anything out.

Nick and Ashley meet to discuss the settlement for the divorce and trust for Faith and as they are doing so Ashley brings up the SEC investigation. Nick makes it clear that any input from the Newman board is welcome but in the end he will make any decisions. Later, Nick tells Victoria that he isn't going to fight the SEC, even though it isn't the choice Victor would make.

At the dive bar, Mac tells Billy that Lily is in the hospital but Billy is too busy to leave to go see and Mac offers to go for him. Billy looks around and realizes that he can work out of the bar forever. Later, Billy goes to Newman Enterprises to talk to Nick and runs into Ashley first, who tells him who disappointed she is in him. In Nick's office, Billy is confronted by both Nick and Victoria and he is hit from both sides.

At the hospital, Emily goes in to speak with Lily and Lily tells her that the cancer has stolen her womanhood from her. Lily tells Emily about Colleen and her dream and one day she will still be a mother. Outside her room, Mac, Kay and Murphy arrive and tell Neil that he is family and they are here to support all of them. When Nina and Phillip arrive they all discuss how strong Cane has been for Lily and how he has earned back her trust and Neil takes it all in as he considers trusting this man again. Inside her room, Lily tells Cane that she wants to have a baby as soon as possible. Mac offers to be Lily and Cane's surrogate when they are ready to be parents.

Jack meets with Ashley to tell her that Kay is taking Chancellor public and to ask for her support in buying shares in order to gain control over Jabot back. Ashley tells him that she isn't interested but Jack pushes and tells her that this is their chance to right all the wrongs that Victor created. Later, Ashley decides to try to buy as Chancellor stock as she can on her own. Meanwhile, Jack invites Emily to have a drink with him after a good day and impulsively kisses her.

Chloe brings Billy their divorce papers unsigned and Billy watches as she signs them. Meanwhile, Chance goes to the coffeehouse to pick up goodies for everyone at the hospital and runs into a thief with a knife who stabs Chance while trying to rob the place. Later, the doctors tell Lily that she is going to be okay and Kay calls Chance to tell him the news and Gloria answers his phone. Gloria tells Kay that Chance was stabbed. Michael calls Gloria to tell her that Newman is going to be reimbursing people who lost money when the bank in the Caymans collapsed.
