Jack tells Nikki, Ashley and Traci that he's going to maintain a positive attitude about his prognosis. The neurologist arrives, and sticks a pin in different parts of Jack's legs, but Jack is unable to feel anything. Kay arrives to visit Jack, and he tells her that he had a vision of John while he was unconscious, but is unsure why John sent him back to a life of paralysis. The neurologist returns, and informs Jack that there is almost no chance he will be able to walk again. Jack declares that he will fight hard to beat the odds.

Genevieve arrives at the police station and tells Ronan and Paul that she wants to visit Myrna/Patty. They refuse to let her, saying that Patty is too fragile. Later, both are shocked when Spencer informs them that he has allowed Genevieve to see Patty.

Genevieve enters Patty's padded cell and lashes out at her for betraying her trust. Paul interrupts and tells her to stop. Patty becomes delusional and asks if Gen is her teacher. Gen realizes that Paul was right, and that Patty is nothing like the woman she knew as Myrna.

Nick is surprised when Victor admonishes him to be more concerned about Adam's health. Victor comments that at least Diane's murder case is behind them.

At Restless Style, Ricky asks Phyllis if she's decided to run his expose on Patty. Phyllis replies that she won't run the exploitative piece because of her relationship with Jack. She makes Ricky promise that the story is dead. Later, she remarks to Nick that she's surprised Ricky would betray his family in this way. Ronan calls and informs both Nick and Phyllis that the charges have been dropped against them. As they are celebrating, Summer arrives with her nanny and presents them with matching Valentines.

Lily leads Cane away from Crimson Lights to a park bench. They share a warm moment as they talk about the twins, and playfully have a snowball fight. Cane drops to one knee and proposes marriage to Lily. She joyfully accepts.

Nikki returns home after spending the night with Jack in the hospital. He informs her that the charges against him and Adam have been dropped. Nikki is disappointed to report that she hasn't received a message about her charges. She tries to encourage Victor to reach out to Adam, but he angrily retorts that Adam tried to frame him for murder. Later, Ronan calls Nikki to the police station, and informs her that the charges against her will not be dropped.

Ricky arrives to visit Patty at the mental institution, but Paul refuses to let him see his aunt. He tells Ricky to stop pretending he cares about her.

Victor pays a visit to Genevieve to ask if she's made a decision about being his partner. She states that Beauty of Nature is all she has left, and she won't let it go.
